The Commonwealth Society is a group of people united by common interests. The sciences, government, politics, history, literature, technology, social problems and solutions, the arts — the list is endless.

VCU invites interested adults of all ages in the Richmond area to become members of The Commonwealth Society. Each semester the society offers a series of exciting topics providing a unique educational experience. These college-level courses offer adults the opportunity to learn and develop interests without college-level stress. No papers, exams or grades. In addition to attending courses, members of The Commonwealth Society are invited to participate in social and travel opportunities, lectures and brown bag lunches.
